Lindsey Forstie, FNP and the Journey That Shaped Her Approach to Allergy Care

Lindsey’s journey into allergy and asthma care began long before her medical training. As a child, she struggled with undiagnosed asthma. Physical activity meant chest tightness, headaches, and falling behind despite her effort. For years, she believed her limitations were personal rather than medical. It was not until a school nurse recognized the signs of asthma and proper treatment began that everything changed. Breathing improved, confidence returned, and the boundaries she had quietly accepted began to disappear.

That experience shaped the direction of her career. Lindsey became a nurse, then a board certified family nurse practitioner specializing in allergy and immunology. She founded Carefree Allergy with a clear mission: no one should have to live within unnecessary limits caused by untreated asthma or uncontrolled allergies.

What Are Allergy Drops and How Do They Work?

Allergy drops, also known as sublingual immunotherapy, are a form of immunotherapy that gradually retrains the immune system. Allergy drops expose your body to small, controlled amounts of tested allergens to build long-term tolerance rather than simply masking symptoms. At Carefree Allergy,  the formula is customized based on your specific allergy profile and symptoms.

01

Get Tested

Comprehensive same day allergy testing in our Phoenix clinic identifies your true environmental triggers. This ensures treatment is based on accurate clinical data rather than guesswork.

Types of Allergies Treated with Allergy Drops

Allergy drops are designed to treat a wide range of allergic conditions by addressing the underlying immune response rather than simply controlling symptoms. Through personalized immunotherapy for allergies, treatment is tailored to the specific triggers identified during testing.

Allergy drops may be used to treat following allergies:

Benefits of Allergy Drops

Needle Free Treatment

No injections are required, making therapy especially appealing for children and individuals uncomfortable with shots.

At Home Convenience

After your initial visit and instruction, drops are self administered daily at home. Most patients require only periodic follow ups.

Personalized Care

Each formula is customized to your specific allergen profile.

Reduced Medication Dependence

As immune tolerance improves, many patients rely less on antihistamines, nasal sprays, and other symptom control medications.

Long Term Immune Modification

Unlike medications that only mask symptoms, immunotherapy for allergies works to change how the immune system responds to allergens.

Flexible for Busy Schedules

Allergy drops eliminate the need for frequent office visits required with traditional allergy shots. This makes treatment more manageable for working adults, students, and families while still providing consistent, effective therapy.
